Cleanings for Kids

During your child’s checkups and cleanings, our team will make sure that they feel comfortable and at-ease to help your child build a positive relationship with their oral health. First, we’ll examine their teeth and gums for any signs of common dental problems, like cavities. Once finished, one of our dental hygienists will clear any plaque and tartar from the surface of their teeth. We also make sure that your child has all of the knowledge and tools necessary to maintain good oral health at home!

Dental Sealants

Cavities are a common problem among children because they’re still learning how to brush and floss their teeth properly. To help prevent dental decay as they perfect their at-home oral hygiene routine, we offer dental sealants. These are clear shield-like formations that we paint over the biting surface of their molars to keep food debris and plaque from settling in the grooves and causing cavities to form. They make it easier to brush away all of the harmful debris, preventing oral health issues.

Fluoride Treatments

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that your child’s body uses to strengthen the outer protective layer of their teeth, called the enamel. If they don’t receive enough of this from oral hygiene products, local water sources, or certain foods that they consume, we may suggest a treatment to help reduce their risk of decay. Fluoride treatment is fast and simple. All we do is place a topical gel over their teeth to help boost their enamel development and keep their smile healthy.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Cavities are among the most common oral health problems that children face. If we notice one developing, we aim to treat it as soon as possible to prevent it from getting larger and causing dental discomfort or tooth loss. Using a tooth-colored composite resin material that is able to chemically bond with their enamel, we fill the cavity to form a protective seal. The material is virtually unnoticeable, so your child won’t feel self-conscious about the way their smile looks while they’re making new friends on the playground.

Athletic Mouthguards

One of the most important pieces of protective gear that your junior athlete needs is a mouthguard. Without one, they can be more susceptible to dental damage and jaw trauma.
